City Streets of Bjørvika

The city streets have been under construction since the opening of the immersed Bjørvika tunnel in the autumn of 2010.

The Norwegian Public Roads Administration will have completed the city streets by 2015.

One of the salient challenges faced by the project consists of the depth from the surface to the bedrock, which in some places runs up to 60 meters.

The map below shows the streets of Bjørvika highlighted in red. The Bjørvika tunnel is drawn up in a dotted line.

The E18 Bjørvika-project involves the construction of 8000 meters of road.
