International organisations

Multidisciplinary organisations

The Norwegian Public Roads Administration is a member of the Nordic Road Association (NVF), the Conference of European Directors of Roads (CEDR) and the World Road Association (PIARC). Participation in these organisations enhances the NPRA’s expertise within technical, administrative and economic disciplines.

The NVF provides the opportunity for cooperation between the public and private sectors in a wide range of disciplines. CEDR is based on cooperation among road administrations in Europe. PIARC is the largest global organisation within the road and transport sector, and membership promotes knowledge exchange and contact with professionals from other parts of the world. 

Specialised organisations

In addition to membership in these multidisciplinary organisations, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration participates in a number of specialised professional organisations.
