Use of DATEX is subject to the following conditions:

Users of the DATEX format from the NPRA are responsible for ensuring that the information is not distorted and/or open to misunderstanding.
Messages in Norwegian are not to be translated into other languages. If an organisation creates messages in Norwegian based on DATEX codes, it should use a separate table or service to translate the DATEX codes from English to Norwegian.
Usernames and passwords for accessing the DATEX node are confidential information. It is not permitted to disclose this information to end users.
If the organisation discloses information in DATEX format from the NPRA, it must always acknowledge the NPRA as the source.
When problems and reported errors lead to downtime for the DATEX node, error correction will follow the NPRA’s ICT routines.
