What is DATEX?
DATEX is a European standard for the exchange of traffic information between different actors and is based on messages in the XML format.
DATEX is short for "DATa EXchange between traffic and travel information centres".
We are currently offering information about weather, travel times, camera images and traffic in both DATEX II version 2.3 and version 3.1 formats. Using the service is free of charge.
Version 3.1 is now available. Links to publications from version 2.3 will be active until further notice.
Who can use DATEX?
The DATEX service is available to the media, various providers of traffic information and other actors interested in using information from the NPRA in their own services. Use is subject to the Norwegian Licence for Open Government Data (NLOD).
