The Norwegian Public Roads Administration would like to invite industries within the maritime sector to a meeting in Bergen on June 11th.

Particularly interesting for maritime industry and consulting

The Coastal Highway Route E39 will reduce the journey time between Kristiansand and Trondheim by half, and replace ferries with new marine structures.

– On investment projects, contractors have traditionally been our contract partner, and have completed construction of tunnels, roads and structures. We have to a lesser extent, purchased goods directly from suppliers to the executing party. The Coastal Highway Route E39 is a unique project, we are therefore looking for alternative solutions to ensure that we complete our projects, explains Dunham.

– For example, a floating bridge to cross the Bjørnafjord will involve a large and expensive delivery of steel elements. We therefore wish to enter into dialogue with industries with experience in designing major deliveries, she says.

The industry meeting in Bergen will be of interest for industries within the fields of offshore, steel, oil, gas, shipyards and shipping companies (all presentations will be held in Norwegian).

– It will be exciting to establish new contacts and explore the possibilities for collaborating with an industry that has long experience with marine structures. At the industry meeting, they will receive further information about the expected work volume in the future so that they can start planning a future collaboration with us. I am really looking forward to a “different” industry meeting!

She concludes: We need your expertise! Come and join us, we want to invite interdisciplinary dialogue and cooperation!
