The Coastal Highway Route E39 will host three conferences in the fields of transport and social benefits, as well as bridge and concrete technology. The conferences are mainly October 22 and 23 and are the result of a collaboration with the industry and other entities in the Norwegian Public Roads Administration.

The Technology days is something I look forward to every autumn, it’s a unique arena for obtaining the latest in transport research and a good place for networking, says Kjersti K. Dunham, program manager for the E39-project.

On Wednesday, October 23, there will be an all-day conference on pioneering bridge and concrete constructions in collaboration with Norwegian Concrete Day.
– You will be updated on the latest news about the fjord crossing projects in the E39-project, in addition we have many exciting speakers from abroad, says Dunham. She mentions the architects of the world's largest underwater restaurant, Under, the Canakkale Bridge in Turkey and Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge.

Two days devoted to social benefits
On Tuesday October 22 and Wednesday October 23, you can gain deeper insight into various transport models and calculations of social benefits. You will learn more about how it is possible to estimate the utilization of transport projects and the importance of infrastructure for settlement, business development and settlement patterns. In addition, new models for land use, climate and environment and speed and fuel calculations are presented. NOTE!These conferences will be held in Norwegian.
