The transport purchasing companies receive information about requirements for winter tyres and chains from the NPRA and can make a simple inspection of “their” vehicle combinations. Vehicles that are not well enough equipped when they arrive at the company can be rejected as carriers.

For drivers

If you as a driver are to carry goods for a Trygg Trailer company, you risk having your vehicle’s winter equipment inspected by the company’s employees.

The company employees have received instructions from the NPRA how to check that tyres and chains are OK.

The company will also provide you with information about driving on winter roads in Norway (Trucker’s Guide, which is available in many languages) and some articles that may be useful.

If your vehicle does not have good enough tyres and the required number of tyre chains, you risk being rejected as a carrier.
