The E6 in Levanger will be closed for several days after a landslide
On Saturday morning, there was a major landslide on the E6 by Nesvatnet in Levanger.
− We are currently working to get an overview of the incident and will start the clean-up work when the police have released the accident site. We are asking everyone who is travelling by road to check vegvesen.no/trafikk for updated information, says Ruth Helene Myklebust, Director of Operations and Maintenance Central Norway.
There is a diversion route via County Road 755 (Fv 755) for vehicles up to 50 tonnes. (*) An alternative is to drive via the E14 in Sweden.
All heavier vehicles carrying goods must be cleared by Customs at the border crossing. Private individuals carrying goods subject to import restrictions also need to go through customs.
See Road and traffic information for updates.
For customs regulations, see Toll.no - Norwegian Customs Administration and Tullverket.se - Swedish Customs.
(*) The original press release said that modular vehicle combinations cannot use the Fv 755 as a diversion route. This is not correct, and the information was therefore removed on 1 September 2025 at 14:20.
