Tell us about dangerous traffic situations
We welcome input, for example about objects in the road, flooding, car breakdowns, damage to the road or signs.
Serious incidents must be reported to the police (telephone 02800). Use the emergency number 112 if immediate help is needed.
Traffic information
Stay up to date in real time at vegvesen.no/trafikk or through the NPRA app “Vegvesen trafikk” . In the app, you can receive notifications about traffic information for your area.
At vegvesen.no/mountain passes you will find the status for important mountain passes and roads exposed to rough weather.
Roadworks and maintenance
Please tell us about potholes or damage, and about insufficient snow clearing, gritting or salting on national and county roads. Defects and deficiencies on municipal roads should be reported to municipal authorities.
Damage to cars caused by road conditions
If your car has been damaged, for examples as a result of potholes in the road, you should contact your insurance company. They will take the issue with the road owner. The County Administrations own county roads, and municipal authorities own municipal roads, while the Norwegian Public Roads Administration owns national and European roads.
