How to use DATEX
To access DATEX information, you must first request access. You can then use our publications.
When you request access, we register you as a DATEX user. This allows us to inform you about upgrades and other reasons why the node may be down.
Download a sample data file
You can use the sample data file to see the structure of the data within each area. The file contains all publications: weather data, webcam, travel times and road messages.
Learn more about using DATEX
There are a number of functions that may be useful to know about when you work with DATEX publications.
Find information for predefined locations
A location table allows you to retrieve information for predefined locations from a DATEX publication. You can find the location table on our RDS-TMC page.
Check if a publication has been changed
You can use the "If-Modified-Since" header to check if a requested publication has been changed since a particular date and time.
See the UML model
The UML model shows the data relationships in the DATEX model for the given specification.
View DATEX data in maps without using the DATEX service
You can view DATEX data in maps via WMS/WFS.
You will find more information about the use of DATEX at datex2.eu.
