See what you need to do to get your driving licence back when it has been suspended for 6 months or less and you are not required to take a test.
Once the suspension has expired, and you wish to get your physical driving licence back, you need to contact us and request that we return the licence to you by post.

In certain cases you need to order a new driving licence at a Driver and Vehicle Licensing Office
This happens if your old driving licence has been reported lost or destroyed because it was damaged or illegible.
Book an appointment for ordering a new driving licence to avoid waiting at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Office. Bring valid proof of identity.
Digital driving licence
If your driving licence is bank-card-sized, you will normally be able to use a digital driving licence when the suspension period expires. Digital driving licences are only valid in Norway.
