Automatic toll stations
The toll plazas are automatic, marked with "AutoPASS". You drive through without stopping. The owner of the car will receive an invoice after passing through. There is only one manual toll plaza in Norway, at the Atlanterhavstunnelen, where you must stop and pay before driving through.
How to pay
AutoPASS tags and other tags that are valid in Norway give you a discount at most toll plazas. An invoice will be sent to the owner of the vehicle.
It is compulsory for most vehicles exceeding 3.5 tonnes MAM to have a valid tag.
Without a valid tag
If you pass without a valid tag, the vehicle’s licence plate will be photographed. An invoice will be sent to the owner of the vehicle. Pay the invoice after your journey. This also applies to foreign vehicles.
With foreign-registered vehicles, you also have the option of paying invoices after the journey via Euro Parking Collection. In order to operate the toll stations efficiently, the toll road operators have outsourced the task of collecting payments from foreign vehicles to EPC, which specializes in cross-border payments and debt Collection.

Compulsory toll tag for heavy commercial vehicles
It is mandatory for most vehicles with a total permitted weight of more than 3.500 kg to have a toll tag when driving in Norway. See more information about compulsory toll tag.
